Laminate installation instructions
Variant: DIY-Instruction
button
1. substrate test
The substrate should be firm, even, clean, permanently dry, load-bearing, free of cracks and resistant to tension and compression. Any unevenness exceeding 3 mm must be sanded down and levelled with a floor levelling compound.
CAUTION: Never lay laminate over a soft subfloor, e.g. over carpet or on unsuitable underlays.
button
2. acclimatisation
The planks should be stored horizontally in the room in which they are to be installed for approx. 48 hours before the installation in the packages. This will allow the material to acclimatise to the room temperature and it will not "work" as much after the installation.
button
3. subfloor preparation
Start by cleaning the surface to be laid with a hoover. Lay out the vapour barrier (for mineral subfloors) overlapping in the room. If the laminate flooring does not already have integrated impact sound insulation, we recommend that you lay the insulation butt to butt against the laying direction of the top covering and fix all overlaps with aluminium tape.
Before installation, it is imperative that you follow the official installation instructions that are included in each package, otherwise any warranty and guarantee claims will be void!

4. laying instructions
Tip: To achieve as uniform a floor appearance as possible, it is advisable to install panels mixed from different packages.
You should start laying in one corner (left) and starting from the wall. Lay the first panel with the tongue side facing the wall and place all the other panels against it. Depending on the collection, the next rows are first laid with the long side into the already lying planks and fastened by applying light pressure to the face side or first clicked in with the face side and the long side then clicks into place.
ATTENTION: A distance of approx. 10-15 mm must always be maintained between the floor covering and the wall as well as to all fixed components.
button
5. last row
If possible, the last row should be half the width of the plank. To do this, please measure the exact width of the room before laying. Please also take note of the edge distances to the wall.
button
6. finish
Finally, cut off the PE foil approx. 2 cm above the floor. The skirting boards can now be attached with a mounting adhesive or the special clips.
